The date and venue for this years AGM has been set. It is at the GT Oakley Cricket Club in Corby on Thursday 12th December @ 19:30.
Committee member nomination forms will be going up this weekend. I would encourage everyone to consider volunteering some of thier time next year to be on the Committee and help with the running of the club.
If you have any motions for this years AGM they need to be submitted to the club secratary (Jerry Lunt) before Monday 2nd December to allow time for the Agenda to be posted to all members. An Email to email@example.com would be sufficient.
Sunday 10th nov at 10:15 we will be presenting a poppy wreath for Remembrance Sunday at spanhoe airfield war memorial on the laxton rd, be nice to see a few club members there. Please remember there is to be no flying at the club site before 12pm on this date.
Then from 5pm on Sunday 10th nov we will be holding our annual bonfire and firework night. Keri is kindly going to make chilli and if you like bring a couple of buns and burgers, because no doubt the BBQ will be going on, should be lighting the fire about half 5 and the display shortly afterwards. Although the club is supplying fireworks it would be great if you fancied bringing a few more.

The club has been invited to put on a flying display at the Brigstock Beer Festival on Saturday the 21st September 2013.
The festival has been run since 2004 and raised money for local charities. The festival runs from the evening of the 19th September to Sunday the 22nd.
The club has been invited to put on a combination of flying display and static display on Saturday the 21st September. BMFA approval is in place to fly on the Cricket Club grounds. If you would like to help out and attend the event the please contact the Jason Bishop the Event Organiser.
To fly pilots will have to hold a B Certificate. A Certificate holders will only be able to fly at the event organiser and safety officers discretion.
Please ensure you bring your BMFA insurance card as proof of insurance and certificate.
From Monday 11th March for three weeks the Gretton - Harringworth road will be subject to closure. If the work finishes early or is extended we will keep you all informed.

If anybody has any input on how to add a bit of fun to the day please say all ideas would be appreciated. Think usual like touch and go comps climb and glide I.c and electric pylon racing, what about flyin skittles as mentioned by Chris h ????

In order to renew your membership and insurance you can pay by cash or cheque. The money can be given to any Committee Member or posted to the Treasurer. You will find the address for Daimon McMaster on the back of your membership card.

This years AGM is being held on 11th Dec at Desborough Conservative club. The meeting will start at 7.30 pm. Any motions for the AGM must be sent to the secretary no later than 7 days before the meeting. Nomination forms for the committee will be on the notice board in the club hut for the next 4 weeks. A lot of the committee are not standing for next year so we need some new blood to come forward. If you are interested please read the qualification rule in the club rules on the club website. Full details of the meeting will be mailed out to members before the meeting.
This years bonfire party will be held on Sunday 4th. There is a barbeque from 2.00 pm till 8.00pm, a huge bonfire and fireworks. You will be able to enjoy some night flyings even if you are only watching. Family and freinds are all welcome to our most popular event of the year.
Sadly due to the condition of the site this years Steam Fair has been cancelled. Hopefully the organiser will not be put off by this and consider trying again next year.
